    TIDES

    Check the tide timetable. As a very rough rule of thumb, the tide is predicted to be 4.7 or more metres, then allow approximately 1 hour before and 1 hour after the peak time. Do not attempt to cross when the Strood has water on it, no matter how shallow it may appear.
