Day time and Evening Hires of the Company Shed
We cater for parties and events in our wonderful historic building and have had fantastic feedback from customers who we have hosted. We have hosted weddings, wedding anniversaries, birthday celebrations, and charity fundraising events. In fact we’ve probably hosted more than that, but it’s all I can think of off the top of my head.
We have also catered for weddings and other celebrations at other locations on the island, at people’s homes and at the Packing Shed. We’re very happy to provide you with our wonderful food and service wherever you choose, within reason. I’m not sure that we could host anything too far outside of our local area.
The following prices are to give you an indication of what we can do, but everything and anything is open to discussion and consideration. We absolutely love hosting events so please contact us by email or using our Bookings and Enquires Forms if you have anything in mind.
Daytime group bookings within the Company Shed
We accept a maximum table size booking of 25 people. For this, we will require a deposit of £10 per head and a minimum spend of £30 per person. If the food and drink ordered on the day doesn’t cover this spend, then we would expect you to cover the difference.
We’re not being greedy, we love having big groups in, but it makes for a much slower turnover of customers and it affects our yield for the day. We need to ensure that staff, buildings and raw ingredients costs are all covered, with hopefully a bit of profit.
Daytime hire on Mondays and Tuesdays
We are not open for business to the public on these days, but we are happy to open for a daytime hire of a maximum of 5 hours. The cost of this hire is £300 for the building and then the cost of whatever food and drink that you consume on top of that,
If you want to hire the building on these days, we will only accept bookings with a minimum of 30 people and a maximum of 50 people seated.
If you wanted us to host a buffet for you, cost is subject to negotiation depending on the food and drink being catered, we can host a maximum of 70 people standing.
Evening hire
We are available for hire on any evening of the week. The cost of the hire of the building is £300 and that is for a maximum of 4 hours. The minimum number of people that we will cater for is 30 and the maximum is 50, this is for seated bookings.
There is also a minimum spend of £30 per person. If the food and drink ordered on the day doesn’t cover this spend, then we would expect you to cover the difference.
We can also cater for 75 people standing at a buffet style event. The cost of this is subject to negotiation depending on the food and drink being provided.
Day hire on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays
The Company Shed is available to hire for the whole day on any of the above days. The cost of this is variable, it depends on when in the year you want to hire. Our busiest times are the summer holidays, Christmas, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and Valentines Day. If you want to hire us during these periods the cost would be more than if you wanted to hire us on an off peak day.
